Passion Fruit Green Tea Refresher

Spring is just around the corner!

After these past few long months of winter, I seriously can’t wait for the relentless rain, unbelievably humid air, and finicky temperatures of spring!

Because honestly, if I see any more snow (or have to make up any more school work due to snow), I’m gonna have a bone to pick with Mother Nature.

Anyway, spring has always been my favorite season. It may just be because my birthday is smack in the middle of it, or because I prefer shorts, dresses, and skirts to constricting pants & layers by about 100 times. Or it may be the fresh strawberries.

Whatever it is, you can’t deny that with spring comes the possibility of summer, sunny mornings, and cough freedom.

My favorite way to start off a beautiful spring morning is definitely with a tall glass of iced tea or fruit-infused water. You really can’t get any more refreshing. And when you combine the two together?

Imagine Starbucks Refreshers… times 1000.

This Passion Fruit Green Tea Refresher is absolutely the best way to start off your morning. For one, the green tea will kick-start your metabolism for the day. Not to mention the fresh, delicious fruits included will provide countless vitamins and minerals to make your skin glow. And the passion fruit tea adds a subtle sweetness, without any of the typical, highly processed sweeteners usually required for a sweet morning drink.

And did I mention that the Tea itself has little to no calories?

Can’t you just imagine yourself sipping this refreshing, delicious tea out on the dock in the warm springtime sun?

Maybe I simply can’t wait any longer for Spring Break… but I sure can! 🙂

Passion Fruit Green Tea Refresher

  • 1 green tea bag
  • 1 passion fruit tea bag
  • about 2 c water
  • 1 clementine or small orange
  • 1/4 apple
  • 1/2 tsp lemon juice

Slice orange and place in a large mason jar. Cut up 1/4 apple of choice into large chunks and add to jar. Add lemon juice. Drop in green tea bag and passion fruit tea bag, then fill with about 2 cups of water (or until the jar is full). Stir, making sure the tea bags are under the surface of the water. Place in the fridge and let sit overnight. In the morning, remove, take out the tea bags, stir with a spoon, and enjoy!
