Sometimes all you need is something cold. Especially when it’s 98° F outside and you’ve been at the pool for two and a half hours. You could go and spend $2 buying said cold item at the snack bar, but chance is it’s going to be chock full of sugar and guilt-inducing.
Or…
You could make your own super healthy, all natural sorbet. And guess what? It’ll take you less time than waiting in line at the snack bar or ice cream truck.
Did I mention it’s only made of two ingredients?
Fruit & honey (and/or stevia, depending on how strong your sweet tooth is).
Oh, and it’s less than 50 calories per serving.
What’s not to love?
Sweet Summer Sorbet
- 1 c frozen strawberries
- 1/2 c fresh strawberries
- 1 tsp honey
- 1/2 tsp stevia (omit if you want a less sweet version)
Blend your frozen strawberries and fresh strawberries in a food processor or blender for 30 seconds. Add honey and stevia (optional) and blend again until smooth. Enjoy!
Try making this recipe with watermelon, blueberries, mango, etc. for equally delectable treats!
