White Chocolate Mocha

I’m always looking for new coffee recipes.

It may because I drink coffee so much (once, sometimes even twice or three times a day when I’m really sleep deprived), but I’ve discovered that I get tired of coffee very quickly.

My usual coffee routine consists of a cup of medium-dark roast coffee and a couple tablespoons of sugar free vanilla creamer (which I know is full of chemicals, but my mom drinks it so it’s always in my fridge, and therefore the easiest morning go-to). However, every once in a while I like to mix it up with a fancy latte or mocha, so that I don’t get bored to tears with the everyday classic. Unfortunately, I’m broke and Starbucks is expensive, so their lattes are pretty much out of the question. Additionally, have you seen how much sugar is in one of those things?! That alone has prevented me from getting a frappaccino more than once a year!

Instead, I’ve learned to experiment with my own coffee recipes, so that instead of wasting 400 calories on a Starbucks drink, I can enjoy a homemade latte for 1/4th of the calories and a fraction of the price!

This White Chocolate Mocha is just that: the healthier, much cheaper, version of the Starbucks classic. It takes about 3 minutes to make (which is much less time than you’ll spend waiting in line at a coffee shop during the morning!), has about 1/5th of the sugar of a Starbucks mocha, and doesn’t include any dairy or gluten!

Plus, what’s better than waking up to the smell of a fresh pot of Joe in the morning, instead of having to drive five minutes out of your way and spend $5 on a coffee? Money saving, healthier, and downright delicious, this White Chocolate Mocha is about to be your next best friend!
