A HUGE, warm oatmeal raisin cookie in a bowl.

For breakfast.
That’s basically what these oats are, in a nutshell! With all the main ingredients of oatmeal raisin cookies (Ie. oats, vanilla extract, cinnamon, raisins), this oatmeal could definitely be mistaken for the actual cookie! And with the addition of flax seeds and banana, they’re just as sweet yet much healthier than your typical cookie.
Did I mention it takes less than 5 minutes to make this huge bowl of cookie oats?

And I mean huge. Seriously, one bowl of this oatmeal probably equals two to three actual oatmeal raisin cookies. For only 185 calories! That’s the calories of a single oatmeal raisin cookie in this bowl of three cookies!
Wake up with a cookie craving, but want to start your day off heathy? Look no further than these Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Oats. Packed with protein, whole grains, and flavor, these will start your day off with a bang! Or better yet… a cookie! 😉

With not an ounce of guilt to be found!
Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Oats
- 1/3 c rolled oats
- 2/3 c milk of choice (I used almond milk)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 banana
- 1/2 tsp flax seeds
- 1 tbs raisins
- stevia to taste
If making on the stove, combine (and a dash of salt, if desired), oats, vanilla, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan and heat to a boil. Cook about three additional minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally, then add 1/4 of a banana, diced. Let cook for an additional two minutes before removing from heat and adding flax seeds and raisins. Sweeten with stevia to taste.
If microwaving, combine milk, oats, and vanilla extract, cinnamon, and sliced banana (plus a dash of salt, if desired) in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high 2 1/2 to 3 minutes, then add flax seeds, raisins, and vanilla extract Sweeten with stevia to taste. Enjoy!
