I’ve never met anyone who doesn’t like Hershey’s Kisses.

They’re pretty much the perfect treat: not too large to be guilt-inducing, just sweet enough to tide over a chocolate craving, and absolutely delicious to boot. Plus, they’re chocolate, and who doesn’t like chocolate?
Usually, I can’t control myself around chocolate. But, I’ve found that Hershey’s Kisses are the exception to my chocolate obsession. I guess the fact that I’ve always viewed one kiss as a full dessert or “treat” stops me from reaching for a second, whereas with M&M’s I’ve always viewed the whole bag as the “treat”. So, today when I found myself craving peanut butter, I decided to put this single-treat kiss mentality into practice with good old PB.
The recipe I came up with is probably the easiest one I’ve ever made. All you do is throw all the ingredients in a bowl and mix them until smooth. Then scoop them into a piping bag (or plastic bag) and squeeze onto a cookie sheet. Freeze, and you’ve got yourself 65 mini peanut butter kisses. And trust me, these kisses are so good you’d never believe they’re healthy! If you didn’t make them yourself, of course!

My favorite thing about this recipe, though, is that each kiss is decadent and rich enough to fully satisfy you. In only 15 calories. With normal peanut butter, it usually takes at least 2 spoonfuls to satisfy me. Which tallies up to around 250 calories (if I’m lucky! And skimp a bit on the spoonfuls). But these kisses are so satisfying, that I never find myself reaching for a second or third even when I know I don’t need it.
Another bonus about these kisses is that they’re stored in the freezer. Out of sight, out of mind, right? Especially when I shove the container into the very back of the freezer, behind the bread and frozen pizza, so they never really cross my mind. This also means that they keep for an extremely long time, and won’t get moldy or stale after just a week.
In fact, when my sisters (who have a strong dislike for anything healthy) tried these kisses, they loved them so much they actually couldn’t believe they’re healthy!

So to this day, I’ve yet to meet anyone who doesn’t like these Peanut Butter Kisses either!
Peanut Butter Kisses
- 1/2 c natural peanut butter
- 2 tbs stevia
- 1/4 c gluten free flour (I used brown rice flour)
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbs melted coconut oil
Combine all ingredients in the large mixing bowl of a stand mixer. Mix on low for 3 minutes, then high on 3 more (or until fully combined. Scoop into a piping bag fitted with a Wilton #12 tip, or a quart sized bag with the a small hole cut from the corner. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Squeeze kisses onto parchment paper, holding the bag vertical while applying medium pressure, then once the kiss is quarter sized, halting the pressure and lifting the bag up to create the “kiss” shape. Freeze for 15 minutes to harden. Enjoy!
